WW folk- please tell me I calculated this wrong
so I went to Duncin Donuts and treated myself to a coffee cake muffin. I checked the website and entered in the fiber etc after. Could a muffin really be 17 points I am hoping I calculated this wrong....

Its probably right....since its mostly sugary carbs and fat which really bump up the points value using the new program
ETA UH OH....calculator I just used said 18 points!!!

The reduced fat is 12 (my hubby buys one every day on his way to work) believe it or not....the regular blueberry is 14 points (and its only a difference of 50 calories and 5 grams of fat!!)

On the old plan I think the coffee cake muffin was like 23 points. LOVE them...but I gave them up since.

Just a suggestion, what if you bought it and cut it in half and ate 1/2 of the muffin and a piece of fruit? Then saved the other half for the next day? This way you are still having some of it but not all those points?

The donuts are about 6-10 points. The reduced fat blueberry muffin is 12 points. The only benefit of the muffin is that it's bigger and will keep you full longer. To me the donuts are not a meal but a snack. I have never gotten full off a donut. Either way IMO they are both so not worth the points.
