Re: WW- more weight loss on Core or Flex??
Ive only done flex- so I guess my vote is biased, but IMO I see the flex teaches more of a lifestyle change....
You can eat ANYTHING, but you monitor your portions...
vs.
Core- where I believe you only eat endless amounts of certain food (groups)

Re: WW- more weight loss on Core or Flex??
ive done both in the past and it came off what seemed like with less effort on core. you don't have to sit and think about points, no measuring ect. on the other hand, you can only eat core foods (although the list is long) for so long. what i usually did was eat a core dinner and bfast and a non-core lunch. I didn't go out of my way to make it happen, it just usually worked out that way. working it like that worked for me, but i also didn't go crazy with the non core food. it was usually japanese food w/white rice.

Re: WW- more weight loss on Core or Flex??
I've only done flex. I don't mind counting and I don't do well with food restrictions.
I think the real answer, and this may sound like a cop out , is that no matter what diet it is, the one that will lead to the most long-term weight loss is the one you will be able to stick to!!!! So whatever feels more comfortable to you will work best.
I know there are diets out there that say you can lost 7lbs in the first week, etc. But I wouldn't be able to stick to that, so it's absoluitely useless to me. With another plan if I can stick to it and lose 1-2 lbs for a week and keep them off, it's an infinitely better diet.
For example, i did flex and exercises in the fall, with my vacation and the holidays, I completely fell off the wagon and stopped coutning points and working out. However, the flex plan taught me so many good habits about eating and portion control that I did keep a good portion of the weight off for the 8 months before I went back to the gym. So in that way I think flex is great, I'm doing better even when I'm not "dieting"

Re: WW- more weight loss on Core or Flex??
I voted same. I've tried both programs and didn't find that one worked better than the other. I found it depended more on me and my mindset. On core you can eat as much as you need to feel satisfied. I found that if I wasn't careful I started eating too much after awhile. On flex, I'm able to manage my portions but I don't always eat as healthy.
I did find that when I plateaued on flex, switching to core for a few weeks helped jump start my weight loss again. HTH!

Re: WW- more weight loss on Core or Flex??
I prefer core and think I lose more as well. But the main reason is I think it creates a better eating pattern including fruits, vegatables, protiens ect and you learn to eat till you are full, not over eat. When I have done flex, while I lose I find I am eating much more processed and packages type food. But in the end I think it is whatever plan is easiest for you to adapt to

Re: WW- more weight loss on Core or Flex??
I honestly feel that it varies for each person. It depends on what you need more in a program.
For me, I can't give up eating what i want when I want. Therefore, core would not work well for me, nor would it work quickly because I envision myself not sticking to it well according to my needs. Flex has worked better for me because as long as I count the points, I can make it happen.
On the other hand, if you need to eat until you are satisfied and can handle eating off of a food list until you are not hungry (not stuffed, but satisfied) then core is more for you and you will do better there.
The one that is going to give more weight loss is the one that YOU personally can stick with as a lifestyle, for the long haul.
