Re: WW-smoothie

I'm pretty sure you won't since fresh fruits are 0 pp.

I think the whole idea that came up in our meetings, is that fruit is suppose to be eaten whole instead of pureed... you get fuller by biting, crunching it.

Just like fruit juices aren't 0 points... Banana use to be 1 to 2 points depending on size by the old program.

Your banana is 0pp. Whether you throw it in a smoothie or not.

Agree!

I was told fruit is free when it's in it's natural form. Once you cook, blend or do anything to it, it is broken down and digested differently.

I was told to put my smoothies in the recipe builder. My smoothies have been averaging an add'l 3pp. (strawberries & banana).

(Of course this now kills my summer dreams of 0pp banana "soft serve".Chat Icon)

Re: WW-smoothie

I wanted to update on this too - This week I counted my smoothies based on the pp value the recipe builder gave it & I was down 1.8 vs the average of 0.5 when I just count the milk.

Something to think about if you have smoothies daily like I do/did.

you know. After I saw this I was reading one of my old weekly books they gave us.

It brought up fruit... It said how the fruit is 9pts in natural solo form. But when blended into something should be counted based on its nutritional values(which will add points)
