WW vs My Fitness Pal
I joined WW after my 2nd DS and lost all of the weight (I had gained 52lbs) by his first bday. I kept the weight off until the tail end of this past summer. My DS will be 3 in a couple of weeks and I'm still hanging out about 8 lbs over my "normal" weight. I've been doing MFP on and off for the past few months and have lost nothing. It's nice that its free, but it just doesn't seem to be working for me. Did anyone else have success with WW but not MFP?

WW vs My Fitness Pal
I never tried MFP but I do much better when I am on WW's. I feel its easier to live normal, eat what I feel as long as I have the point plus values left. When I first did WW I lost almost 75lbs in less then a year. I just rejoined and I have lost 11.2 lbs since Jan 2nd.
I hope this helps a little.

I gave up on MFP. For me, counting points is easier than counting calories. I just feel WW is so much easier.

Same for me! I thought it would be the opposite, but I didn't have much luck with MFP this summer. I finally gave in and went back to WW (was skeptical about Points Plus, because I had lost weight on the old plan), and I am down almost 9 lbs in about 5 weeks.
I like the structure of WWs and I do meetings, I like the accountability of someone weighing me each week. Maybe I just wasn't as motivated with MFP, I don't know... but counting points is really easy now with all of the new apps, scanner, etc.

I never tried MFP but I've tried counting calories. It just doesn't work for me. IMO WW is worth every penny.

What you wrote here is EXACTLY how I feel. (Im also down 9lbs) LOL. WW is more simple. I like simple. LOL
I also use Skinny Taste for recipes and love how the points are already there for you.

Re: WW vs My Fitness Pal
I have actually been tracking on both WW and Calorie Count (its a site like MFP). What I have seen is that my intake has been shown as more through Calorie Count vs. WW since WW counts all your fruits and veggies as "free". The main plus on a calorie counting website is that it is free but like others have said its definitely easier to track based on points on WW, and then theres the accountability factor. Good luck!

Based on that theory, you would assume that MFP would be more successful since it would allow less calories per day- I count my fruit on MFP. But it doesn't seem to be working. I'm very good during the week and am usually told I will be anywhere between 126-130 in 5 weeks. The weekends are my downfall, but I still can't believe I've been stuck at 138 for much more then 5 weeks with no budge on the scale. It's so frustrating!

Re: WW vs My Fitness Pal
I would check to see if MFP doesn't have your calorie target as too low... I joined MFP for a day and it told me my calorie target was like, 1200...I didn't like how I couldn't input my own portions though, so I switched to Calorie Count... on CC I was targeted around 1450, it was so strange. But even when I exceeded this amount (with the fruits it went a little over my daily target) and I still ended up with a deficit (between activity and daily burn). I think I am an exception because I have been experimenting with eating more this week, since I haven't really been seeing big losses and lo and behold it seems to be (so far) working. Maybe you could join WW for a month to see how you like it and see if there is any change?
