My Fitness Pal App - weight loss per week?
What do you have your weight loss per week set at?
I originally had 1 lb, but wondering if most people put 1.5 or 2 lbs?
Thanks!

Re: My Fitness Pal App - weight loss per week?
I put 1 lb per week because
1) I didn't want to get too restrictive with my calories... I want this to work, so I figured I had to be realistic; and
2) In the past, slow and steady has been most successful for me.
But I've been doing it for 2 weeks and I've lost a little over 4 lbs, so I am happy (although I know you always lose a little more in the beginning).

Re: My Fitness Pal App - weight loss per week?
I chose 1.5 lbs per week. When I started there was no difference between 1.5 lbs and 2 lbs for me (1200 is the lowest it will go) and if I went to 1 lb per week, it only bumped me up to 1220 calories - although I am so close to my goal now, I just tried to change it to 1 lb per week, and it stayed at 1200 cal. If you have a lot to lose, you'll see a bigger difference depending on what you choose.

Re: My Fitness Pal App - weight loss per week?
I changed it to 1.5 lbs which puts me at 1200 per day. At 1 lb I was higher. I really want to jumpstart with more weight loss in the beginning... Hopefully it's not too low. What has been helping me is the Shakeology shakes. They average about 350 calories for me (with the stuff I add to the powder) and are really filling!
Thanks ladies.

Re: My Fitness Pal App - weight loss per week?
I originally had 1.5lbs because that was what I was averaging each week.
I work with a PT and we are on a new work out routine (much more intense now), and I have a new goal, so I've just changed my options to 2lbs per week. I know it's alot, but for the past month or so, I've been doing anywhere between 3.2lbs and 2.2lbs. I've had some really small losses in between.
