WWYD - traveling with a newborn to visit relatives

My DH and I will be going to visit my bro and his family in Florida next month. they do not have a crib or PIP. Is there places you can rent something for the baby to sleep in? I do not want to have her sleeping in our bed, I am to scared of that.

We will not be staying in a hotel so I have no idea what to do Chat Icon

I don't know what town you are traveling to, but there are places that rent them out.

I was in Clearwater, FL this past March and DH's grandma rented one for DD. It was in very nice condition, it looked brand new!

We traveled when DS was 3 months old and my DH's aunt brought a pnp for us. But you could check yours, most airlines do not count baby gear towards your luggage allowance.

You can rent from a company too.

Or, what my SIL did when my niece was a baby and they came to visit us was buy a cheapo $40 pnp from Kmart for my niece to use. Actually, my parents are still using it for DSChat Icon

We are going to Orlando, FL. Where did she rent one?

I looked into renting a PNP when we went to Georgia once, but we go there at least once/year and it worked out to be cheaper to buy one from Walmart. Will you be going there again while DC is small enough to sleep in a PNP? My DD will probably be able to sleep in one until she's over 2.

I traveled alot with my little guy in the beginning and used an infant travel bed, here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/Eddie-Bauer-Infant-Travel-Bed/dp/B000COW7WS

It zips up to be about tote bag sized, its light and has a handle. Thought it was a great thing to have around. We still use it when we go to my mother's.

Good Luck!

A Baby's Best Friend is a very reputable company in the WDW area.

OP, I would just buy a PNP and bring it along. A rental is probably almost the price of a new cheap one.

When I went to Florida last year, my mom bought an inexpensive pack and play at Walmart, I think it was about $35.
