WWYD 1st Birthday Party Related <a little long>
I'm torn about whether to have a 1st birthday party for DD. So I have three WWYD questions: When, Where and Who to invite:
WHEN Problem: DD is born Dec 28...I would want to have it the week after, but then I would run into New Year's so it would have to be the week after that, prob 1/8/.
WHERE Problem: Our co-op is waaaay too small. I don't know if I should do maybe a KofC, a Hall or my third option is a dinner but that leads to...
WHO: My family, great-grandparents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins is about 20 people all of which we see on a regualr basis, DHs family on the other hand would be at LEAST an additional 50-60 people and we hardly ever see them.
Sorry this was long and way in advance but it's making me crazy! Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I would do it the 2nd week in January since it's so close to the holidays.
If you feel obligated ot invite everyone you can do a hall. Otherwise I would do immediate family at a restaurant for dinner.

ITA Check into a firehouse or something if you'd like or see how much a restaurant would charge.
If you think it'll be too much then just go out to dinner with immediate family.
Does your co-op have a room to rent? Some places do May want to do it mid Jan. Away from the holidays

we live in Queens, they don't do firehouse rentals and our co-op room is gross...in a dingy basement. I think I'm leaning towards the dinner. Thanks!

In your situation, I would do a dinner or maybe even a brunch so DD can be awake and in a good mood. This way you can keep it low key and keep the guest list down to a minimum. I am having similar issues with my DD 1st bday which is 12/18.
