WWYD birthday party related UPDATED!!!
DD's 2nd birthday is in early December. We have lots of friends with kids so having it in my house isn't an option. (31 kids IF everyone invited comes)
I really wanted to have it at MY GYM, but the Saturday dates I wanted are already booked. My only choices are the Saturday after Thanksgiving from 4 -5:30 or the Sunday after her birthday from 3:00 - 4:30.
My concerns are people will be travelling or have family commitments on that Saturday and does anyone really want to go to a birthday party that late on a Sunday (football, travel, work the next day etc.)
Which day would you pick? or should I scrap the whole idea and try to think of something else?
Just a note: most of our friends aren't around the corner local. We are in Putnam County and have friends in CT (which isn't that far), NJ and LI and lower westchester. The party for 1.5 hours is $400 so I want to make sure at least some people show up.
This just stinks!!!
UPDATED: looked into Little Gym and there's one not too far that had the Saturday that I wanted!!

Hmm...I agree, I think that the Saturday after Thanksgiving would be very tough for people to make, esp. since you say there are a lot of people who would travel for the party.
I'd vote for the other Sunday then. If you really want to have it at My Gym and those are the only dates, hopefully it will work for most people, just let them know ASAP so they can reserve the date!

I think the Saturday after Thanksgiving would be hard with traffic and people might be away. I would do the Sunday at 3 pm but have you looked into The Little Gym? I wanted DD"s party at My Gym but they were booked so I went to the Little Gym and it's very similar.

I wouldn't do it the Sat. after Thanksgiving if so many people need to travel to get there.

Honestly, I would look for another place. I don't like either of those options, but if you really have your heart set on My Gym, I'd do the Sunday.

Never heard of it. Just left a message! Thanks for hte suggestion!!! It's not as close to my house, but central for the people traveling. Fingers crossed they have a Saturday :)

I am doing the 23rd for that very same reason. We backed up the date this yr.

I agree plus if people need to travel, I would rather have the time in the morning so i didn't feel rushed

I took Merf99's advice and looked into Little Gym. It turns out there's one about a 1/2 hour away and had the Saturday that I wanted.
