DH & I are going with our families on vacation next week but next Monday is supposed to be the 6w 2d ultrasound. Would you take the 3 hr drive back for the day or should I just wait till the following week for the sono? I don't know what to do I really want to see the HB but if for some reason it's too early to see it I know we will ruin our whole vacation worrying about it. Any advice would be appreciated?

i would wait till the following week....as much as i would want to and i would be thinking about it iw ould enjoy the vacation
and for me the diff from 6 week and 7 was huge
at 6 they barley saw a flicker of one hb and and at 7 there was 2 strong ones

Thanks girls!! You are both right and thanks Gina for sharing about your sonogram. I had a feeling that I should just wait but of course there's a huge part of me that wants to be irrational & come running home. But I'll wait-- Thanks again for the advice!

I agree with Gina. I had the same experience. 6w2d there was no HB and I was so worried. 7 weeks there was a nice, strong hb!!
Could you maybe see if they will do it on Tuesday instead?

We're actually going to be gone till next Friday so the earliest I can go after coming back from the trip would be Sat morning which would be exactly 7w. I guess it makes sense to wait it out till then. thank you for advice
