So I am back for pregnancy 2 with mfi. I just assumed that we would need ivf again since iui didn't work the first time. With that in mind I got started with a clinic based on their relatively low pricing for ivf, even though their location is not ideal.
Turns out my husband had another semen analysis and low and behold things have improved and we were actually told we can try iui. This is great because iui is covered. Problem is this clinic is extremely inconvenient for iui. Bad monitoring hours and I would have to drive 30 minutes on the lie with my husbands sample - without traffic. I would have to do this month after month probably.i had preliminary testing done there and have to take a break for three months bc it turns out I am not immune to chicken pox and just had the first dose of the vaccine and can't Tcc for 3 months.
I am thinking of going for a consult at another clinic that would be much more convenient for iui. Problem is if iui does not work, I cannot afford Ivf there.
How does this work? Can I do iui there and go back to the original clinic for Ivf? Would they even know? Tia!

I'd go with the more convenient clinic for the IUI. Hopefully that will work and you won't need IVF, but if you do, I don't know of any reason that you couldn't switch back to the other clinic. By then, you may need to repeat some of your labs and other tests (mock transfer, etc.), though since those are only good for a year.

I agree with the above. Hoping IUI works for you this time

I'd switch to anger clinic and switch back if you need to. Monitoring hours are super important and need to work with your schedule.

Re: Wwyd
Thanks everyone! That's what I was hoping to do, I just wasn't sure if these clinics cared about switching, I had read some stories where the clinics gave ppl a hard time about getting records etc. if I need to go to the cheaper ivf place I don't want to be blackballed :) thanks!!!
