WWYD? Banging head in crib.
DD is 7months and has learned to pull up and is now doing so in her crib. Tonight before she fell asleep she was crying in her crib for about 2 min, pulled up and then WACK, banged her head. She now has a decent sized bruise on her forehead...right in time for her first Thanksgiving She is constantly hitting her head on the crib b/c she moves around so much. I am so unsure about bumpers. Not even just for the SIDS reason but also because I think she will try to step up on them and then she will fall OUT of the crib!!! WWYD?? I am at a loss, she constantly has brusies on her little head

Re: WWYD? Banging head in crib.
As you said, bumpers are a personal choice.
I had them in from day one and took them out when I converted the cribs to bed, so when my kids were 3.5 years old and 3. They stepped on them, but I had ones from PBK and it was more like a super thick quilt so even when they stepped on them, it either just smushed them or went sank between the mattress and crib. They never climbed out. My DD did try one time when I put her there because she was having a fit and I showed her what would happen if she tried to climb out.

maybe if I lower the crib all the way down and put bumpers in then maybe she won't be able to get out!
