WWYD barking dog!
DH and I rent an apt in someones house. When they are not home they leave their dog out and the thing barks. Yes all dogs bark...usually at something. This dog just trots around the yard and just barks at the air, no exaggeration. I'm a big time dog lover, have always been, but I actually hate this dog with every ounce of hate that I have for another living thing. Plus it's not just a bark it's like a howl/bark which is 10X more annoying. We have been in this apt for over a yr and the people are so so nice that we feel bad for saying anything to them about the dog. But it is actually really hard to concentrate and relax with this dog barking literally outside our window. Forget about naps too. WWYD? Would you say something to the people? I mean it is their house, but it is also inconsiderate to leave a non stop barking dog out while you are not home and have to listen to it bark. From what I've heard other neighbors have complained. Should we say something?

I would definitely say something. Not only shouldn't the dog be out by itself all day, the barking is probably against local ordinances (continuous barking at very early or very late times). Every town usually has one.

Isn't it terrible that they leave it out for that long! They don't even know how much it barks! Imean it's not the dogs fault, it probably just wants to go inside. When they are home and it is out, it doesn't bark at all really!
