WWYD: Mets game & due date

Just curious what you'd all do:

I'm due June 21st; DH's friend called him yesterday and said he has an extra ticket to Mets/Yankees game on June 18th...does DH want to go?

I'll add that we live out East, right before the forks, so either stadium (not sure where the game is) is about 1.5 hours away w/o traffic.

Just wondering

ETA more info: DH actually said no without even asking me; I kind of feel badly (and a few people have told me they'd tell him to go), but we have an older DD too and it's the whole situation of what to do with her if I've had the baby and am in the hospital on the day of the game, he'd have to be home with her too.

Also-- the friend wants to have someone lined up (he lives OOT) for the game, he doesn't think he'd be able to get someone last-minute if DH took the ticket but had to cancel.

let him take the ticket, but obviously he better be on high alert (no drinking) in case you need him to rush home! he should take his own car in case he has to leave

I probably would not want him to go. Thats just me...like PP said- high alert!!!

I'd let DH go. Only a few hours out of the house and could be the last guys night out for a while

Obviously if you go b4 then he won't go, but if you haven't then tell him to go have fun, but his cell better be on LOUD. LOL

I would tell my Dh to go but make sure that he brought his own car and that there was no drinking involved just on case. I would also make plans with a good friend or family member to hang out with just in case.

If it were me, I would tell him to go (but secretly hope he didn't ;) ) He probably wouldn't have gone because he gets nervous about stuff like that...

I know he said no, but I would have him go. If he cancels, I will go. I am that good of a friend that I will take the Mets ticket off your hand.

No way. When I was PG with DS, DH went to a playoff game close to my due date but we were much closer to the stadium and he could have gotten home in 30 min by subway (so no traffic possibilities). But IMO, he'd be too far from you and the hospital. Plus it's all the more complicated because you have to figure out what to do with DD if you go into labor and then find someone else drive you to the hospital if its an emergency.
