WWYD or not do

I recently moved into a beautiful neighborhood however my neighbor seems to be a hoarder. In his front yard there are now two grills and his patio set like he's from the burbs movie and will miss something if he grills in his backyard... Is there anything that can be done without ameba tie effect? What would you do?

Re: WWYD or not do

I say MYOB.

It doesn't sound terrible IMO.

We are doing construction on our house and it looks terrible IMO and will probably take awhile since we are doing the work ourselves.

If someone came up to us and made a comment, I'd ask if they want to pay and have someone finish it, to feel free.

There are some things I think we need to deal with as homeowners.

If the house was totally dilapidated and unsafe, old vehicles everywhere, etc. that's a different story.

Since you mentioned you are new, I'd hold off too....you don't want to be "that neighbor".

Also what does your DH think?

I know mine would be pissed if I got involved in creating neighbor issues over trivial things.

I don't really think there is anything you can do, or should do. Maybe he's having extensive yard work done and can't grill and chill in the back, and since our winter lasted until basically two weeks ago, he wants to enjoy some outdoor time.

What else makes you believe that there is hoarding going on? I mean, it can't be that bad if you went ahead and still bought the house next-door, no?

There is nothing you can or should do. You cannot move into a new neighborhood and start dictating how other people's yards should look. That's definitely not the first impression you want to give.

What you described doesn't even sound that terrible. Pick your battles.

this. he's entitled to sit in his front yard with his table and chairs, whether you like it or not.

Thanks ladies... The general consensus around the neighbors is they are hoarders and they're backyard is fimr it just has tons of crap in it. I definitely didn't want to start making waves but wondering if it got worse if there was something that could be done.

Re: WWYD or not do

I think all you can do is call the town but don't expect much to occur.
