WWYD (Travel related)
I have a conference in early Feb in Orlando near Disney. DH nor I have ever been there and are thinking about taking the kids (3yo and 8mo). Conference starts on Sunday and ends on Weds. Sun and Weds are light days but on Mon and Tues I'd have meetings starting at 8am and events leading well into the night so DH would be on his own with them if he comes down with me on Sunday. Our other alternative is for him to fly down on Tuesday by himself with the kids and then I'll be mostly free with them from Weds on but we would leave on Saturday so it would only really be 3 full days there. Either one puts a lot on DH (flying alone with the kids vs 2 days in a hotel virtually alone with the kids).
Would you do either of these scenarios or just plan it for another time? It would save us my air fare which probably isnt even that expensive and 3 nights of hotel would be paid for which is nice but does it matter if I'm going to miss a portion of the experience? And is it too short a stay if they just come from Tues/Weds - Sat? WWYD?

I would have DH come down with you, and even though he'll be alone for 2 days, I'm sure he can find things to do. The spend the rest of the week there.
I don't think my DH would have fun with 2 kids on a plane ride by himself, he'd do it, but definitely would never do it again.

I don't think my DH would have fun with 2 kids on a plane ride by himself, he'd do it, but definitely would never do it again.

I would have DH fly down at the same time. I can't imagine flying alone with 2 kids.
DH had a conference in Orlando this week. We axed going because I'm still suffering from morning sickness. If DH had another conference there, I would take a toddler and infant in a heartbeat. Just try to stay at a kid friendly resort that has activities to keep them busy.

Have them go down with you I think!
Most airfares will be cheaper with a Saturday night stay, so that might save you quite a bit of $$$. At that age your 3yo will LOVE the hotel, even if that's all they do for the day!!

Funny- same scenario for us but in March and my kids will be 4 and just turned 1. I don't want to be in the parks with both kids alone so DH will work there Mon-Fri. I'll fly down on Thurs afternoon with both (g-d help me!) and we'll be on our own for dinner that night. DH finishes on 12 pm on Friday so we'll be on our own for the morning too and then we'll be there until Monday. Short trip but we'll make the most of it!

This is what I would do. He can always stay poolside at the hotel while you are working if he doesn't want to venture out.

That's what I would do. He can't do the pool by himself but he can walk around, do some rides, icecream, etc...
