WWYD....holiday gifts at work
Curious to see how others would handle this:
You're with a company for 7+ years and have managed the same group of people for that time period. You're leaving the company and your last day of work is 12/20. Do you give your staff holiday gifts??
PS: This is about my boss. He chose to not give any of us anything and we all had close relationships with him. I still brought him a gift as I've done for the last 7 years.

That's the corporate equivalent of breaking up with someone Dec 24th just because you "like" them, but not enough to buy them a present.....
For many people, the 20th is the end of the year anyway, so that's when a lot of presents are handed out at offices.
If anything, the present should be bigger this year, since it's a "Merry Christmas", and "Thanks for the last 7 years" gift.

Yes, I definitely would have. I left my last job 2 days after Christmas and I still gave gifts to my staff.
I think that wasn't very nice especially since it was done every year
