Hey. My "2 cents" is that you shouldn't go into something that is going to max out your budget.

Plans don't always go as expected especially once the baby comes along.

I am currently going through a really bad situation now at work and I will probably end up having to walk away from my job.

To make a long story short, BEFORE I went on maternity leave, they told me I could have a caseload on Long Island, near my house and be able to do my work from home. (I'm a social worker).

Well, fast forward, now that I am back at work "things have changed".

They want me to commute into the city every day, take on clients in the Bronx which are basically 2 hours away........it's nuts.
They basically have backed me into a corner and I know that if I don't do what they want I will be out of a job, which will affect our income obviously until I find something.

Not totally related, but I guess what I am getting at is to plan "for the unexpected" like I didn't really do...........
