You think it is safe to apply Dry Lock to my basement wall (its only one wall) while i am pregnant? Or should we skip it and just paint the wall instead?

Yea, thats why I was nervous. (We didnt use it yet). I know a lot of people use it for moisture problems and mold prevention but the warnings say that it contains a chemical that in the state of california is knows to cause carcinogenity, reproductive and developmental toxicity.
I know we live in NY, but i just feel liek there is any doubt about it, why use it.

I wouldn't - And I have painted an entire basement floor, the nursery, the moldings etc etc etc while PG -
But that Dry Lock stuff usually has additional chemicals, some kind of Epoxy stuff that works as the sealant (sp?) - The fumes are NOT good for you -

Yea, that was my first instinct.
Did you use a special paint while pregnant?

No - I used normal latex Benjamin Moore paint - My OB said it was fine as long as the room was ventilated. The only thing I didn't do myself was the inside of the closet ........I figured it wasn't the best idea to be inhaling those fumes w/in that tight space -
We used Porch/Basement Floor paint for the basement (again, just regular latex, none of that Epoxy stuff) and regular paint and a glaze for the nursery -
DH also painted the garage floor, but he used Epoxy and I wasn't allowed near the garage for a week -

Re: Sort of Home and Pregnancy related....
with that warning I wouldnt use.
when we painted we used water based paint and kept windows open, I tried to be out when when the painting was actually being done and fumes were the strongest.
