Re: X post from pregnancy, you guys know me a little better
I am a rabid Team Greener. I've done it three times and I LOVED the experience--personally, I think it makes the pregnancy itself more exciting in a lot of ways. And then of course the BIG MOMENT! Incomparable!
Buuuut...what if it's a boy? Do you think you'd need to be prepared? Will there be a shred of disappointment in the delivery room?
Listen, I had no preference with DC#3, but part of me was shocked to the core that it was a boy. Maybe somewhere deep down I figured I'd have girl #3, reuse all the clothes, buy more princesses and hairclips and call it a life. I was not disappointed at all...just, IDK, confused I guess. I come from a huge GIRL family. It took me a couple of months to come to terms with the whole thing. I often wondered if I had found out at 20 weeks would my feelings have been different (and I totally get what you're saying about hating yourself for your feelings...).
Having said all that...if we ever had another (we are not.), I'd definitely be again. Whoever's in there is in there...no turning back now! And you said it best...a healthy child is all anyone can really ask for! Good luck with your decision...
