Xbox 360 Kinect?
I know very little about it except that it's awesome. DH already has an Xbox 360 so if I wanted to get him the kinect, would I have to get an entirely new system or is there an add-on I could purchase? I'm thinking maybe of getting this for him instead of the laptop. He really wants the laptop but I doubt he'll ever use it and this I know he'll use!
ETA: TIA everyone!

Re: Xbox 360 Kinect?
Its an add-on to the xbox and is $149. Just FYI it is sold out pretty much everywhere. You'll have to keep looking constantly if you want to get one for Christmas. (or pay a ridiculous amount on ebay)

Re: Xbox 360 Kinect?
Yes, it is awesome... much better than a laptop ... Its actually not an expensive add on bc it comes with a really good game that would prob be priced at $50... so $100 for the actual equip then and its sooo worth the money! i already have dance central coming in the mail, giving DH kinect sports for xmas, and i think hes getting me your shape fitness for xmas... i tried the demo for it and it seems like it would be a really good workout! (as is all the games really) ... the games really get you up and moving... you will break a sweat very quickly... love it!
ETA: I use mine with the old xbox and setup and connecting was fine... no issues... no need for a whole new xbox system

Re: Xbox 360 Kinect?
Just an add-on. But be careful.....I asked DH if he wanted it and he said no because apparently there are too many glitches. He said people are reporting a delay in the sensor so it makes it really annoying to use it. So if you lift your arm, your character doesn't lift it's arm until a second or two later.

Re: Xbox 360 Kinect?
I figured this would be the hot ticket item this year! But I don't even necessarily have to have it in my hands on Christmas day- even if I just ordered it that would be cool. $150? I thought it would be wayyyy more than that! That's awesome!
Thanks Laura- I'm definitely going to feel him out and try to see which he'd prefer but he's been talking about it a lot lately.
Thanks again everyone!
