Re: XPOST - City Mini Double Stroller - Pros? Cons?
I just bought the city mini as our lightweight stroller and like it a lot. I am still on baby #1 and won't have baby #2 for a while but I thought the city mini double stroller looked way too wide. It looks like it would be impossible to get through tight hallways and doors.
I saw the phil and ted double stroller on mommypoppins and made a mental note that I would probably want this when we have baby #2.

i loved it but noticed (after the guy at bb told me to pay attention to this...) that the car seat adaptor wiggles around quite a bit....

oh no! thanks for mentioning this... I think i'm going to look into other options. Plus, I don't like how the seat doesn't fully sit upright. Thanks!

Re: XPOST - City Mini Double Stroller - Pros? Cons?
I have the double citi mini and LOVE IT. I got it when my second son was born and he is now 18 months old. It came down to that one and phil and ted. I tested alot of strollers and asked my friends alot. The last test was actually putting my kids in it so i was at BBB and wheeled them both around the store in each of the strollers. My older son was kicking and bothering the other one cause they were front to back so thats one of the big reasons why i ended up with the citi mini
Pros- It does fit through every doorway, is the easiest stroller to close, it fits in my car trunk, comfortable for the kiddies (3 year old and 18 month old)
Cons- The only con is if I goto a store with clothes' racks close together, with any side by side stroller, i cant fit through so easily.

Curious? Do you have to use the carseat with this stroller? I never did with my second son and it was fine. I just reclined that side all the way back.
If I did use the carseat, i just used my snap and go when he was a newborn

No you don't need the carseat - you can put a newborn in it right away.

Re: XPOST - City Mini Double Stroller - Pros? Cons?
I have this stroller, and we love it. My girls are now 3 and 21 months and we have been using it from the very beginning with and without the carseat attachment. I used the carseat attachment for a few weeks and felt that it was stable and safe. We decided to just put my daughter right into the stroller at a few weeks old with the seat reclined after a few weeks because she was much happier looking around. We use the stroller all the time, and it's made the same width as a standard wheel chair, so it gets through all doors without a problem. I do have a problem at some stores with really tight aisles, but we just go around a different way. The storage basket underneath has plenty of room, but you can't put anything too heavy in it or it drags on the floor. We just got the hooks to go on the hand bar at babies r us or buy buy baby to hang heavier bags on. The sun shades are great for coverage and have 2 windows to look though to check on the kids. There is no storage on the hand bar, but they do have them for sale on their website. It maneuvers really easily, folds really easily in half so there is plenty of trunk room for other things (which we love when we go on vacation!), and is very light. My 3 year old is tall for her age and still fits in in well, and my 21 month old is off the charts as far as height and weight and she fits fine as well. Hope this helps! Good luck with your search!
