xpost Diet and fitness- cabbage soup diet
I was wondering does the cabbage soup diet really work? I am thinking of going on this diet for a few months. Thank you.

a few months???
That seems like a really long time.
Cabbage soup is one of those things that the caloric content is actually less hten the amount of calories that you burn actuallye ating it. MAking it one of those miracle foods.....so you use it to fill you up for little calories.
But I wouldnt do it for months. thats not healthy.

That soup makes you crap your brains out - it is not something that is meant to do long term.

Re: xpost Diet and fitness- cabbage soup diet
I am so frustrated with myself and i need to lose this weight, maybe i can combine the cabbage soup diet and just follow one of my weight watchers book. having a thyroid problem is no help.

I would not recommend eating the soup long term, its VERY tasteless!!
Ro, can you go see a nutritionist or dietitician? I met with a nutritionist who showed me HOW to eat, and it has been working so far!

Re: xpost Diet and fitness- cabbage soup diet
I cannot recommend anyone since I had one out here in Rhode Island. Your insurance might cover it, check it out. If not, ask your doctors office if you can meet with a nuirse educator, some of them are also registerd nutritionists. She asked what I liked and di not like and we made a personalized "diet" of sorts that was a HUGE help...the key to it is serving sizes and being able to tell the difference between good and bad fats, carbs, etc...
I am here for support Ro, feel free to contact me if you need to talk. Believe me, I know what a battle it is! And, I have a fairly new diagnosis of diabetes to also battle with! it can be done tho!

Cabbage soup diet..Do not do it for long term..Your belly will feel like my gall bladder attack last week...OUCHIES!!!!!!!!
Weight Watchers is good. They show you how to portion your food. Also, my cousin did very well with Jenny Craig, but, I do think they are pricey.
It's not what you eat, its how much!
Hmmmmm, Now, I should take my own advice and run with it!..

Re: xpost Diet and fitness- cabbage soup diet
My mil did this to jumpstart weightloss. I think she did it just for one week- at the most two weeks. This is not a long term diet. It works because it flushes your body of retained water. You can't do it long term and you must find an alternate program for continued weight loss after the 1-2 week period is up.
