Yikes! What a nightmare situation for you. Sounds like you're doing nothing wrong...how the heck does she claim to hear you if she's not directly below you?

you are not being unreasonable.
we recently moved to an apt (we are upstairs) and one day when the kids were playing iin the living room (maybe 2pm) downstairs starts banging on the ceiling above.
Give me a break. People are unbelievable.

That's exactly what i said to her and she claims she hears everything. She's a loon. It's not my fault nor my girls faults that they built this place with crappy soundproofing even if i believed she hears my girls.
And seriously this woman is complaining about my kids dropping toys on the wood floor and the banging. Ummm, so should i tell my one year old who just started walking not to fall or follow her around with a pillow?
Everything that's goingn on right now in my life, she's lucky i didn't kick her down the stairs yesterday.

Not to mention that they go to sleep at night, so they're not "disturbing her" during the night. Would she rather that?

Re: Xpost from home-Is this unreasonable..long-neighbor issue..
Exactly!! They are babies!! and they aren't doing anything to you!!
Right now my neighbor directly above her and next to me and the loon are having a who can blast their tv/radio the loudest contest. The last 2 hours i've heard this racket, and my kids dropping their toys and none of my floors are even ABOVE hers!!!
I live in maturity central. And the loon is leaving CT cause this state isn't friendly to her

Re: Xpost from home-Is this unreasonable..long-neighbor issue..
If it were at night it would be one thing. During the day, I think she needs to be a little more flexible.
We had so many issues when my husband lived in a condo. We had friends staying with us for a few months while they had their house redone. We were never there during the week, only on weekends, so it was basically just the couple and their son all week long. People started complaining that he was leaving his toys outside. They weren't even his toys, they belonged to our neighbor. We started getting letters of complaint that we had to ask them to leave, that these were single family condos.
Seriously, people need to get a grip!
