xpost from TTC: re: my HSG today
I had the procedure done at noon today. I was pretty nervous and I popped 4 Advil before hand. My biggest fear was them inserting the catheter into my cervix, but Ididn't feel it at all. The test it self lasted 4-5 minutes, if that much, and it was quite painful while they were putting the dye in. I was expecting intense AF cramps which is nothing horrible, but this pain was much sharper. Again, it was very quick and if I had to do it again, I'd be ok knowing what to expect now. This time the pain was worse than I anticipated , but if Ihad to do it over I'd be better prepared. As for my results, the Dr. said he could not see my right tube so it looks like it is blocked. Left one looked normal. I can't believe this, on top of my balanced translocation chromosome issue, I am finally getting answers as to why I am not getting pg, and when i did, was miscarrying. I see the genetics counselor Thursday at 4. Then Dr. Brenner July 8th. Thanks all!!!

The good news is that IVF will solve both of your problems. Best of luck!
