This is not over. I was speaking to Dori from Save-A-Pet and she was saying it's better to get people stopping in for an hour or so for each protest than for people to not commit to the full 4 or 5 hours at all because they can't do it.
I was only able to stay about 2 hours but there were people coming and going throughout. It was nice to meet you LIF ladies, Save A Pet volunteers, Guardians of Rescue volunteers, people from amateur photography groups/dog lovers, and people who saw the posts on Facebook.

Dori asked if I would help plan the next protest so I think I'm going to start a Facebook event page and cross link here, Save A Pet, Guardians of Rescue, Patch.
Does anyone have any other suggestions where I can share upcoming protest information so we get more people attending?
Next time I'm bringing a bag with sunscreen, extra signs, hats, and water for people. It was hot and I'm sunburned but I left with a great feeling of accomplishment.

This is exciting. I have a few ideas.

If the organizers are open to leaving flyers they might try:
Vet offices
Pet shelters
Supermarkets
Libraries
High Schools
Another idea might be to call all local papers and ask them to do a human interest piece where they might use the pictures of the past protest asking readers to join us in the next protest. If you call enough of them, someone might be open to it. The pictures are really nice.
Also a lot of shelters use volunteers, whom i am sure would love to have the chance to protest puppy mills.
Hope something in here helps!
If the organizers are open to leaving flyers, and they would like, I can post things in my area (though i live a bit far in the Rockville Centre Area).

I definitely will. Since the attendance from non-Save A Pet and Guardians of Rescue people was very low, it's hard to get a good, prepared group there with signs. I'm seeing that just me posting it here and on my own page isn't going to be enough, so I contacted Dori about it again.
I also got an email from the editor of Patch.com, that they are going to be doing a story on the pet store. Dori said she would contact them back with information (I didn't feel like I knew enough to say the right thing!).

That is great news about Patch.com and I'm sure you would say the right thing.
Here are a some possible ideas i had:
How about posting at the local libraries? I'm not sure if they would allow it....but it might bring lots of people if they did.
I think Craigslist has an events section. I know they have a pet section under community which could be good.
Ideally those interested in attending could send emails stating the time they will protest in order to get an idea how many might come and when.
If extra signs are needed perhaps a donation could be started and extras could be made or a request can be posted in communities or under free stuff for some that may be lying around from another protest which could be painted over and redone for the puppy store protest.
Please let me know if there is anything i can do.

Mushesgirl i think you have the right idea.
I hope it eventually comes to that.
When you don't see the parents of the puppies and the condition the puppies were born in because they were moved to another location, breeders and stores can just do what ever they want and they are.
The more you look into where these puppies come from, the more you learn about the mills, the more you realize how absolutely tragic and heartbreaking their little lives are.

Puppy Mill Bill Passes NY State Legislature:

New York is the only state in the country that prohibits local governments from issuing local laws regulating the sale of pets, according to Susan Lask, an attorney and a supporter of the bill.
Lask said she helped rally support for the bill, and that some 47,000 calls were made to state lawmakers. The advocates will now begin asking local governments to pass laws prohibiting the sale of puppy mill pets, and requiring that only shelter animals be sold in pet stores. Similar legislation has passed in California, Texas, and New Mexico.
