First of all she's an idiot for posting that because chances are she knows you go on there.
I would tell her you saw that post and you don't want to her feel like she HAS to invite you. I probably wouldn't go. I would let her know why.
When I got engaged I made it very clear to all of my co-workers that noone from work would be invited because I wanted to keep it small. I never pretended for a moment that I wanted them there.

So she does know you are on LIW? What a dumbarse thinking that you wont see her post, no matter what board its on.
I would give her what she really wants and not go. Send a gift and thats it.

I see it this way. She probably wanted to invite everyone she had on her list and when it came down to $$ she had to make some tough choices.
I don't think it was personal, I think she was rationalizing how she was going to invite her work acquaintances mostly you without hurting your feelings.
I think she was really in a jam and didn't want to hurt your feelings or insult you. She was looking for answers and turned to LIW.
In the end, I would decline and send a gift either way knowing what you know. She's probably hoping for more nos to get closer to her realistic budget.

i totally agree. it's probbaly not personal at all. she probably would like to invite you, but has to keep her numbers down. compared to all the people on her list you being just a work acquaintance are not "that close," but that doesn't mean she doesn't like you and doesn't want you there. I'm sure she just feels obligated to invite you because you invited her to your wedding. I was in a similar situation where i needed to keep my guest list down and it was really hard to invite/not invite work friends. There are a lot of people I would have loved to have at my wedding, but I just couldn't.
