Ya or Nay on this outdoor Christmas decoration?
The plan is to decorate a 35'+ evergreen we have in our frontyard with C-9 lights.
I saw this and thought about putting it in front of the tree:
Are the elves cheesy looking?

Normally I'm quite New England traditional in my decorating, but these days I have the kids in mind.

she was very traditional- candels in the windows - everything just so
but she did let my brother put a light up frosty the snowman on the front steps

My "cheese-o-meter" has changed dramatically since having kids.
When I told my DH I wanted to buy the elves for the kids, he replied "Yeah, I know you do...it's for the 6 foot 1" kid." 
I've been hoarding these from Ebay

we had those- they were only allowed in the playroom 
but the more I look at the elves- they have a cool retro vibe
I will change my nay to a yay!

i'm very traditional and usually only like a wreath, red ribbon and some white lights... keep it simple.
but those elves on the ladder---that is really cute and i tihnk it would be adorable in front of a large tree!

I think your kids will love it! I never thought I'd do a colored light Christmas tree and found myself purchasing a 2nd tree 2 years ago for my DD!

Our family room tree will be multi-color lights too!!! I've been buying shatterproof ornaments so DD can help me decorate. I'd love to do tinsel, but it's just not practical with an exposed tree, 2 mobile kids and 2 big dogs.

I love the elves with the tree, and I love that you and Jill are starting a decorating tradition.
I'm nutso with the kids too ... I change their bedding to holiday theme and decorate their rooms too. They'll appreciate it someday!
