Do you ever see LIF Moms in public...
and are too shy to say something? I saw a mom yesterday and I felt so shy and stupid to say anything. But it is so weird because on here I feel like i "know" people and in real life, I'm too shy to say anything. Am I the only one?

I sometimes don't say anything either, unless, I know for sure it's them.
If I "think" it's a mom from here, I usually don't say anything.

I do. it usually takes me a second to work up my courage, but if I'm sure it is then I try to say hi. I just saw Stefanie and her cutie pie at the mall. We were on the same elevator. So I introduced myself.

So was it before or after my DD was having a complete meltdown, crying out loud, tantrum  We all were so beat, and waiting on the checkout lines were tortuous especially since we were all hungry!! You should have said hi!

It must have been pre-meltdown. It was a madhouse in there yesterday. Hopefully next time I will work up the courage to say hi.

I've seen a DH, I receognized him from his pics here. But I didn't say anything bc I figured he'd be mortified, I think my DH would if her were in the same situation.
In another situation, another LIFer's DH has met my DH and I have yet to meet her.

I saw MrsJ in a supermarket by our house but I wasn't 100% sure & didn't say anything. She was pregnant at the time & I didn't want to freak her out by having a stranger approach her.
Someone did see my DH, which I thought was very cool. He, on the other hand, was very freaked out. Now he has to think twice about his behavior when he's hanging out with guys from his job

I used to be on LIWEDDINS and my hubby meet one of the girls that I was talking to on the LIRR - he didnt know it was anyone I knew untill after talking with her for a while and she was the one that mentioned it... I dont think I have seen anyone (not that I know of) but if i did and new 100% that it was some one from the site I would say hello ;)

So weird...just yesterday I had my very first LIF sighting!! I saw MelToddJulia. I would have said hi, but we were both crossing the street in opposite directions, so friendliness on my part could have ended tragically.

Yes, you did! I felt so silly. Im like I "think" I know the face..LOL.
And the week before, I didn't even recongnize Kara until afterwards..Actually, I was with Liza and she pointed her out to me..
I'm sooo bad!!

hmmm...well, I haven't seen anyone. But, you KNOW how oblivious I am
But if I saw someone who I "thought" was an LIFer, I would be too shy to say anything. I'm really shy until I get to know someone. Once I feel comfortable, I don't shut up As you know!
