That is not acceptable and you should get a full refund not just $5 thats just wrong and ask them how they would feel if it was done to them.

you should get a refund for more than just the price you paid for the quilting. they actually made the cake look WORSE by doing it---had they done nothing at all it would have looked fine. they should refund you a lot more than just the extras you paid for. and honestly, you can tell them that if they don't you'll reveal who they are on here so that nobody uses them. i certainly wouldn't if i knew who they were.

i did yesterday since i didnt think it could cause drama since they arent a vendor.
i agree, i bet she forgot to put it on and the realized it as she was running out the door to deliver so she literally took a knife and did it.
(i pray thats the case because if she took her time and TRIED and this was the result  she has NO business decorating cakes).

I hope you get all your money back. Did you ask for silver pearls too? I had an issue with one of my dc's cake and although the decoration was beautiful they screwed up on the two fillings. I called that day and went early the next morning and asked for my money back and got it with no hesitation and they also gave me a delicious round chocolate cake in one of their displays. They felt so bad. May I ask where you got yours, you could FM me I'm real curious. I'm a nut when it comes to these kinds of things

Just saw another pic of your cake in your profile. It's a beautiful cake btw and I'm sure your guests didn't notice but it doesn't mean you don't deserve the money you put towards it. Looks like whoever did rush on the design unfortunately. Beautiful pics and great job on the party, congratulations!!

Hey!!! I'm sorry you weren't happy with the cake - but I saw the regular pics from the baptism and didn't notice that anything looked off, so I'm sure no one else did either. You are the only one who would "scrutinize" the cake - lol.
That being said, you should certainly demand your money back, and NOT accept a "credit towards another cake". Tell them that that's unacceptable because you would CLEARLY never order another cake from them, so what would you do with a credit??? and THEN you should proceed to tell them that if they do not give you your money back, you will tell everyone on LIF how crappy they were. EVERY vendor on LI knows about this site, and it shuld give you some leverage.

I would be infuriated!!! Definitely demand your money back!!! And, I agree with another poster who said that you should tell them that if handle the situation to your liking, that you will be sure to tell your entire community of mommy-friends who number in the hundreds (aka us ) who they are and what happened.
I might not mention the message board bc they could look on here and then try to sue you or something for defamation.You never know.

I agree you should demand at least the money you paid for the quilting & fondant. Ask to speak to Tommy personally (or go see him in the restaurant). Good luck though. I had an issue w/ them & even wrote a letter, called & NOTHING got done. I refuse to use them now. We go to Patsy's or Ciesalks (sp).

Read your update... do not go in when they tell you!! Go in first thing tomorrow morning they should be there by 6am (I'm serious) stay there until some a-hole there gives you all your money back. Make them call the owner or whoever. Yell in the bakery, cause a scene!!

That cake def is NOT what you ordered and if they think that is quilting OMG.
I agree with a PP i would go in there 1st thing in the morning and demand to speak to the manager/owner.

WOW!! I can not BELIEVE they stood behind that work, and even thought it looked good!! Although, I guess they have to try to defend their work.
If it makes you feel any better, my bakery thought this looked "FANTASTIC".
And when I complained that it was completely lopsided and was embarassed to put it out, they laughed and called me ridiculous. So I know how you're feeling.
Don't give up until you get satisfaction. For me, satisfaction was having them admit it was shoddy work.
p/s - I don't know how much you paid total, but I paid $235 for that slop!

so, 47 hours after i was supposed to meet with them (and the girl didnt show), STILL no call!
im going to contact BBB - its been 8 days now and they havent attempted to make the situation correct!

OMG!!!!!!!!! FIght them hard! Good for you contacting the BBB! Keep us updated on that dreadful crap. I don't think you are being unreasonable at all to demand the money for the two things they didn't execute! The fact that they are pushing you aside, I totally agree with getting it all back now.
