yet another name question- Having a lot to choose from

anyone else have a LOT of names they like but cannot decide? And those who decided, HOW? Did one finally just appeal to you more, did you just pick?

I really have no clue how to narrow it down? And am REALLY glad I have about 4 months to decide!

we're in this boat right now. boys name we have ,the girls name we've narrowed it down to about 4. at this point, i almost feel like picking out of a hat! but i have a feeling we're just going to go with the one we thought of from the beginning.

We have the girls names down to 4 and boys names down to 3. The names are all a little different from each other so we want to meet our munchkin and then we'll decide.

I always go with something original but not odd sounding and that will sound good on a resume or when they are 50.
I always envision their wedding invitation. lol

I also take what their peers might call them into consideration.
Like I say I like Patrick but hate Pat as a nn. I can try my best to avoid it but once school takes place Pat might stick. KWIM?

For boy names I went with something very original. It goes perfect with my last name and I can see myself having a son with this name. It also would be fine on a resume.

I saw your girl choices last month and I loved them! You've seemed to change your mind though! You'll go back and forth a million times...

I didn't have a lot with either of my kids. I dunno why since I'm undecisive about everything else in my life Chat Icon

What names are you thinking of?

I think I told you this before, but Nicholas was going to be a Kyle and we changed our minds a couple weeks before he was born after I saw Nicholas in a Lillian Vernon catalog Chat Icon I even had an ornmanet made that said "Kyle" on it and I still hang it on the tree!

Re: yet another name question- Having a lot to choose from

with our 1st if he was a girl she would have been Carmela (after my mother) and with the boys name we were LOST LOST LOST..

DH wanted very common (no offense BORING names) like, Jamie, Brian, Zachary, Andrew... i wanted more names that i heard growing up, Carmine, Giovanni, Pasquale, Giuseppe.

he didnt want another Anthony but it was the only name we agreed on so we gave our DS a middle name (something no one in the family has) so we could nickname him AJ.

with this pregnancy it would have been Carmela for a girl and Carmelo for a boy...

we are having a Chat Icon

Re: yet another name question- Having a lot to choose from

Since we are Jewish, we use the first initial of a deceased family member as a way to honor their memory. That really narrows the field so to speak and then from there we looked on line at baby name lists under those letters. Perhaps you may want to honor someone either deceased or alive by using the first initial of their name to narrow down the list of possible names.
