Yet another question (Can you tell this is my 1st?)
When do you start shopping for maternity clothes???
PLEASE tell me I can still wear my one impulse buy - my $260.00 True Religion jeans - for many months until they no longer fit....
Plus, i'll need clothes for work - I'm between a size 4 -6... would I be able to buy just larger clothes, or will they have to be maternity clothes?

I was in regular clothes for a while with the help of a bella band and larger sizes. I'd say I started buying maternity clothes somewhere around 12 weeks. You should be ok with the jeans as long as you buy a bella band.

I started wearing maternity about 3 mths in. I was very bloated and uncomfortable in my regular clothes/pants.

A bella band is like a stretchy fabric band that goes over the waistline of your pants- that way you can continue wearing pants that are too tight, you just don't button or zip them.
Here's a link to one on ebay...

I started wearing maternity clothes about 22weeks...by 24-25 weeks, I was in maternity clothes only. Everyone is different...some women start right a way, some don't.

Re: Yet another question (Can you tell this is my 1st?)
I didn't wear maternity until 7.5 months (28-30 WEEKS) and enjoyed wearing my "reg" clothes! Some people show early and some people really don't.....

Probably not until about 5 months or so with your first.

Awww - cute - had I known about this sooner, I would have bought a whole bunch for those big holiday meals! No need to use buttons or zippers after Thanksgiving - just slap on a bella band and I'd be good to go!!!

Re: Yet another question (Can you tell this is my 1st?)
First I bought a few things one size bigger - not lots of stuff, just two or three pairs of low waist draw string pants from J.Jill. They were perfect & I wore them all of the time. I wasn't working so I wore either those or the velour sweats (this was April-May). I think I bought and started wearing maternity when I was approx. 17 or 18 weeks.
