Once DC stopped being swaddled at night, what tricks did you use to get them to sleep??

Connor is 4 months and kicks out of the Miracle Blanket and wakes up when he does. Nothing I do gets him back to sleep except putting him in bed with us, and I dont want to start that pattern. We did that with DD and I refuse to go through that again. Any tips?
