You can shower if you are in labor or your water breaks(unless your fluid isnt clear) right?
I was too nervous and excited to even think about it when DD was born and my water broke..but would really feel better with a shower...you can shower right?

since this is #2 I would go straight to the hospital ! When my water broke with #2 I had her 10 minutes later ,and with #3 I had her 5 minutes later ! I wouldn't chance it

No nothing is happening yet...Im just wondering for when it is! Dont feel like showering before bed, but want to be showered if I go into labor tonight

you can shower even if its not clear, but you can't take a bath if your water breaks
if the fluid is not clear, I think you should probably skip the shower and rush to emergency room ASAP, its something they need to take care of right away

Well sorta true.....you still go to L&D, but more then likely it's mucinnioum(?), which means baby had a bowel movement and needs to be suctioned REALLY well at birth, and it can mean that the contractions or labor are stressing baby out. They cant do anything about it until the baby is born, but they will monitor you pretty close to see why baby is stressed out.
You can shower no matter what, but no bath after the water breaks due to an increase risk for infection. If it does break and it's not clear tell them RIGHT AWAY.

This is true. You don't need to rush to the emergency room, there is no need. If your water breaks and it looks like pea soup, call your OB and get further instructions. If it is clear then got in the shower and have a bite to eat and head in to LD. Meconium is the baby's first bowel movement. There is nothing they can do about it until after the baby is born.

Yep, unless you are in a good labor pattern take a shower, get something to eat, no need to rush.
My water broke at 6:30 am with my second. I was GBS+ so I needed to go to the hospital, but there was no rush. I got there around 9:30, contractions started around 11:00 and he was born at 12:40. So, it was fast once labor started (remember second baby) but since I wasn't having contractions at first I had plenty of time.
