you know what doesn't go together? mothers and stork bites!
if your baby had stork bites, angel kisses...did they stick around for the year?
my mother is driving me crazy and it has only been 2 weeks. i know she means well...but everyday it is a comment on how it looks lighter today. she lets the WORLD know that there is nothing to worry about, nothing permanent. she is out of hand.
thanks!

Kaitee had them on her eyelids and by a few months old they were hardly noticeable.

Christopher has one on his hairline on the back of his neck, its still there, but barely noticeable. I think if he had hair earlier I would have totally forgotten about it

Re: you know what doesn't go together? mothers and stork bites!
Yup. DD#1 had a stork bite on her forehead and it drove me crazy! The ped said it would last for 1-2 years. I'm happy to say that at 17 months, it is not visible.
DD at 3 weeks
1.5 months
3 months
5 months
8 months... starting to fade more
11 months... still fading lol
1 year old... almost all gone!

My DD had one at the bottom of her hairline on the back of her neck. It faded almost completely in a few months, and now her hair covers it anyway!

Nolan has a pinkish triangle on his left eyelid. I guess it's fading or I'm just used to it. It never bothered me and honestly I don't think anyone ever noticed it to say something about it.

Re: you know what doesn't go together? mothers and stork bites!
DS is splotchy too-he has one at the base of his neck and one on each eye lid. He is 3.5 months and still has them but I don't mind them.
They usually fade over time

DD had them on her eyelids, people asked about them, but they are gone now - not sure exactly when they went away!

Jordan has one on his eyelid, has a splotchy one on top of his head and and the hairline at back of his neck - doesn't bother me.

Re: you know what doesn't go together? mothers and stork bites!
DD has one on the corner of her right eyelid, one in the back of her head and one on the very bottom of her her head/neck area. Sometimes they are more noticeable than other times...sometimes they disappear altogether and reappear a couple of days later.
The Dr. said it may last for a year or two.

I have one! I'm 27 and it still "comes out" when I'm hot or angry. My Dad and Grandma have them too.
DS has one. It's DEFINITELY fading, but like mine, it comes out when he's hot or agitated. I went through my album for you ----

Re: you know what doesn't go together? mothers and stork bites!
Both of my girls have/had them.
Both have them quite dark on the backs of their necks...in fact, my dad, sister and I still have ours!
Both girls have the mark on their forehead. Now at 2 years you can barely see it on Bella.
Infact, I had one myself and if you get me pizzed off or I'm hot it faintly comes out

The red marks that a lot of babies have-DS has one at the base of his neck, a lot of babies have them between the eyes and on eye lids. They look like red splotches.

Re: you know what doesn't go together? mothers and stork bites!
Ale got a haircut yesterday and the hairdresser mentioned the ones in the back of her head. I had already forgotten about them!
She also had one on her forehead, not real dark but noticable. It has faded, but still noticable when she is tired especially. She will be 3 in June.
ETA - just looked a tthe pics. Ale's was in the same place, pretty much the same color. It didn't go away quickly, but very noticable in this pic because of the cold..... Image Attachment(s):

Re: you know what doesn't go together? mothers and stork bites!
Lucas had a stork bite on the back of his neck from birth...today it's pretty much gone but I have to admit that I can see it very lightly (I know where to look though).
I used to call it the 'mommy spot' because I would kiss him there all the time.

Re: you know what doesn't go together? mothers and stork bites!
My nephew had/has one on his forehead. It eventually faded, but even as he gets older, it still shows up if he is crying or upset, overheated, etc.
I think they are cute.

It took a solid 8 weeks for all of DD's stork bites to disappear. She had them all over her face, arms, and back. Now you'd never know she had them!
