Or, another ANNOYING one.
ValentiMes Day....
My friend says that! She drives me nuts!
Here are some of her other words: Punkin = Pumpkin Soder = Soda sahdurday = Saturday Axe - Ask Libarry - Library
She thinks it's funny.
My ex boyfriends mom would say "Earl" instead of "oil" "Earl Burner"
ETS: I also HATE when people pluarlize words that shouldn't be i.e. Costco's, Shrimps, King Kullens

LMAO...my landlord says "Earl" He also says "Burla" instead of "Boiler" and "Turlit" instead of "toilet" He is also the same person who while fixing my stove, told me that he had to get the "genetic" part instead of the "generic" part.

Re: "YOUZE" .....
this made me I hate when people say stupid things like that
ETA: my sister says nine with a g at the end and always mispronounces bowling for balling and vice versa. It's a family joke that she still does it after all these years

Earl and terlit at least can just be an accent, but the others (youze, axe, moms) you are choosing to say the wrong word. And to write it... are you kidding me?

I know several people who do this... I always ask "did you buy it or bring it????" because sometimes I just don't know!

Is NOT A WORD!!!
This old co-worker of mine CONSTANTLY has this in her FB update.
"It was great seeing YOUZE this weekend"
" See all YOUZE at the pool".
I must defriend her. I just can't
My MIL talks like that too, but I have yet to see her use it on FB.

Re: "YOUZE" .....
huh...I would have thought it was spelled "YOUZ"
This is one of my biggest pet peeves as well. I think people think it sounds "smarter" to use I. But I think my pet peeve comes from the thousands of drills in German class on the dative tense and prepositions. This and ending in a preposition: Where you at? you don't save any syllables! Where are you!

Re: "YOUZE" .....
it really makes me nuts when people say or write "i should of" instead of "should have" or "should've". also, i have noticed people misusing the word "mortified" recently. not sure what is up with that. the word means to feel extreme shame or embarrassment. yet people use it all the time to describe being shocked and/or grief-stricken or angry. weird.
