OK what about people who say they clean the floor with a SWIFTER. That drives me loopy...
OMG...........
MIL: I'll clean that with a Swifter. DH: It's called a Swiffer. MIL: Right, Swifter, that's what I said. DH: No, you said Swifter and it is called Swiffer. MIL: Yeah, Swifter, that's right. DH: Do you hear the difference it's called a Swiffer? MIL: Yes, I know, Swifter. DH: I don't think you hear the difference. MIL: I do. DH: Okay then let's see if you can say Swiffer. MIL: I don't feel like saying it now.
Next conversation it is still a Swifter. DH actually does it too, sometimes so maybe I should have been the one to bring it up to MIL.

MARK my words
it's MOCK my words
It is actually MARK my words...not MOCK...I believe...
to Mark means to pay specific attention to...so the phrase (which i am sure you know) means "pay specific attention to my words because what I am saying is true"

Mark my words is a completely acceptable phrase. It means "pay attention to my words" or "remember I said this."
"Mock my words" can be used as a phrase, but it means something completely different. It means, "you may be making fun of what I say, but it's true."
Most people who say MARK my words do in fact mean MARK my words.

In that case, I think it's spelled MAHK.

Re: "YOUZE" .....
I ain't hearing you!
HATE when people use the word "ain't"... makes them sound really uneducated IMO.
Another one is the double negatives:
"That's not nobodys fault"
So, then its no-ones fault? Or its everyones fault?
Another is "I SEEN that movie" , um, no, you SAW that movie.
I could go on all day long...

"Draw" instead of drawer
So far, the only one I am guilty of on occasion.
"Wheelbarrel" instead of WheelBARROW really bugs me, too.
