Yucky, red neck...what can I do to make it look better??
DS' neck is gross. Its from the formula, spit up and sweat. One part it pretty red and I dont know what to put on it. Can I put diaper cream on it? I bathe him every other day and ALWAYS clean under there because it start to smell like vomit sometimes.

did you try aquafor.... i found that helped more then anything else

I bathe everyday. Keep area clean and dry. Use a bib (when child is awake and drooling and I am watching her) to catch drool. And when it's really red I put a dab of Aquaphor. Redness is always gone by next day.
IMO, bathing everyday with Dove unscented bar soap is the key to keeping the rolls clean and dry. I find using any baby cleaning products does not do the trick.

i have tried aquafor and now A&D and it's not helping at all....it's actually getting worse and worse...
i'm going to call the doc about it tomorrow - since she has another thing i'm worried about too...

I went to the dr Tuesday for her 3 month checkup and he gave me a prescription for Nystatin so she doesn't develop a yeast infection under her chin.

My dr said to use corn starch. You can also use diaper cream. She said it's jus like a diaper rash and can get worse quick. If you can't clear it up call the ped and get a prescription for nistatin.

If it smells really bad and looks shiny and raw, it is probably a yeast infection-- DD has had one forever! I use Nystatin, but I am so inconsistent with it bc DD touches her neck and puts her hands in her mouth-- you should use it like 3 times a day, and I always forget, so it comes and goes.
