high back booster age?
We have the Graco 4ever seat. What age do we convert to the high back booster? She is a tall 4 year old. The website says age 4, but everywhere else online is saying at least 5

I didn't transition to the high back booster(without the harness) until around 8 I think.
Its not ao much about age but more if the child can sit properly in the seat with the seat belt on...no slumping, no falling asleep.
If you go online you can find articles on the subject that describe when you can safely switch them
Honestly, the longer in the 5 pt harness the better. It's always safer

high back booster age?
I switched my son to a high back booster with a five point harness at 4. He is a tall kid. He is still in the harness. I think we have the Britax Frontier for our cars and for my in-laws car we bought a Graco 3-1 Tranzitions. Both use the harness and can transition to the seat belt.

The child has to be able to remain sitting up straight or the seatbelt is dangerous because it moves on the neck if they are wiggling around. I’d wait, no sense in rushing it.

My kids will be in their car seats until they max the weight/ height. No sense to rush! I have the Chicco convertible seats and they go up to 65lbs. Mine are 3.5 I just turned them around

My DD is 4.5 and I wouldn't even think of switching for a few more years. I didn't even turn her forward facing until she was almost 4!

5 is the earliest you should switch. My son is 6 and just outgrew his convertible seat in my car. My husband has a Forward facing 5 point harness seat that we have moved to my car for now as I do all the summer driving. We will be getting a high back booster for my DH’s car for September and will use that seat for booster training on short drives only until he turns 7.

They’ll probably outgrow the shoulder height before the weight. That’s what happened to us but my son is very tall.

high back booster age?
I bought a high back booster for my 5 year old for my mom's car. She drives him up the block to school and back. He meets the size requirements so I'm ok with it. For longer rides (my car), he's in a 5 pts harness Grace 4ever. I don't see the point in changing. It takes up the same space and only takes an additional 20 seconds to strap him in.

I could not remember what I did for my oldest and my middle just turned 5. He was still in the regular car seat but he asked to go into the backless booster. I looked up the height and weight requirements which he meets. However, he completely lacks the maturity to be in that seat. I need to put the high back booster back in my car.

thanks everyong. I was confused when I read 4 years old because it's with a regular seatbelt. Seemed weird to me!
