Schools going back full time
I am hearing many districts planning to go from hybrid to full time soon. What is yours doing and what do you think will happen if there’s a spike? Are you going to send them full time if you can?

Schools going back full time
Our school is staying hybrid - they have no active plans to increase the amount of in person learning.
If they did I would send them in a heartbeat.

We've been open full time - for elementary- since day one of school September.
It has been amazing. It has done wonders for my daughter. And for me. It's hard to describe.
Any time they have had a positive case they have communicated with us and it usually involves just quarantining the affected student and their contacts.
One of the high schools had to close for a few days to a week- they were a victim of that Sweet 16 at the Miller Place Inn that you might have read about in Newsday.
But so far, all cases have been traced to out of school gatherings... not from being in class. So I guess they are doing well with the precautions in school! So I am very happy so far

Schools going back full time
I’m interested in reading the replies. Our MS/HS is hybrid with all home on Wednesdays and the BOE is dragging their feet through the mud to even add that day to in person learning (elementary is full time in person 5 days).

Schools going back full time
Despite the drama of this post.
K-12 in our district attends 5 days a week.
K-8 is 5 full days
9-12 is 5 half days. Half in person, half remote.

Nope 2 new posters today that look similar to my name. I made a thread about it. I guess I should feel happy that someone wants to be like me

I know, when it first happened I thought she was quoting herself and answering. I thought she lost her mind for a second.
There are actually 2 similar names. Not sure if they are just using the number change only now. First it was the name without an s. I pointed it out and then the one with an S but a different number appeared.very odd

K- 5 is full time
6-12 is hybrid
No school in my area has any plans to send secondary 5 days a week. There is no space. I’m advocating for my students with IEPs to go everyday. They are not navigating the virtual portion well.
