Target and returns
I used a $25 off $100 for toys deal, but now just realized my SIL bought the same gift. If I want to return the doll, how does Target deal with the coupon? Would I lose the 25% off the order?

They pro rate it per item.
So you won't lose the full $25 off- just the amount of the discount they allocated to that one item

Yes it will be pro rated. I bought so many toys using the 25 off a 100.
You can find out how much you paid for each toy when logging on through the website (not app) you should see receipts and invoices; then you want to choose invoice and it will show you exactly how much you paid.
I know this cause I spent a good amount of time trying figure out how much I spent on items because I also bought duplicate and wanted to return where it was cheaper
