Hot kids
Are your kids always hot?
Maybe it’s karma because I admit I judged others when I saw kids walking around in shorts in cold weather.
My daughter is always complaining she’s hot. It’s really hard as she refuses all types of clothing. We’ve tried doing short sleeves under a cardigan but she wants to just wear short sleeves. I keep my house at 66-67 degrees and she’s in light summer pjs as soon as she’s home from school.
I’m assuming this is normal? She has no other health issues and is 50% for height and weight. This has been years it’s not a fever or something. I’m always cold, wearing layers and a blanket.
Apologies to anyone I secretly judged for having kids in shorts with snow on the ground. I’m over this pandemic and just have no fight left in me. I now get it.
Anyone relate?

Is she on any type of meds? I know that those can make you warmer.
My kid won’t wear a winter coat and most of the time wears shorts out but when it gets under 50 degrees wears sweats.

Hot kids
Mine is the same. We have the short sleeve battle daily. Or the dress with no tights battle. It’s exhausting. She prefers pajama sets with shorts and pulls her blanket off without fail at night.
We do keep the house around 70-72 because I’m always cold. But yes, she definitely runs hot. No heath issues at all.

Hot kids
OMG - having this issue right now. DD keeps opening the window overnight claiming she is hot. I keep the thermostat at 65 overnight, and in the morning her room feels like the fridge, but she swears she is hot.

Hot kids
My son - 6 years old - is like this. He will lounge around in just his boxers all morning. Meanwhile, I am in sweats and a hoodie. At school, he wear short sleeves every single day. We make him bring a long sleeve, but I am pretty sure he takes it off the second he gets into his classroom.

i run COLD. i am so happy to never have had this problem with my kid.
he would be happy to be wrapped in a blanket at all times.
my heart goes out to the moms who run cold and have hot kids!

My daughter is the same.
I would go in her room and she'd be sweating and have the covers off even when she was younger.
I would joke that she was like a furnace.
To this day she just wants to go out in a hoodie when it's like 20 degrees out...

We call her a polar bear. It makes me shiver to look at her. Lol.

Ugghh. I have one who will sleep with the window open while the other is wrapped up like a cocoon in a comforter lol.
I keep my house at 70 as I tend to get cold so they can take clothes off lol.

Mine has been a hot kid since the day he was born. When everyone was bundling up their babies mine was in next to nothing during the winter.
He wear shorts all the time. We also don’t wear many coats (me included). My winter coat right now is a hoodie from old navy!

my middle son is always hot. My house is 66 right now and he just wears his underwear after his shower- all night. He doesn't even wear pajamas to bed. He's always run hot, like my husband.
