Vaccine experience
I got my first vaccine 1/8. Had a bit of soreness in my arm and was a bit tired the next day but overall felt fine. Had 2nd dose on 2/5 in the morning. Felt fine throughout the day. Woke up in the middle of the night with fevers and sweats and chills and most of the day and felt like completely crud. Now I feel fine. I would recommend getting it on a day where you can be off the next day in case you don't feel well. Also if you sleep on your side, make sure to get it in the opposite arm you sleep on.

Vaccine experience
Thank you for posting this. I am hearing many people are experiencing side effects like this, but only on the second dose. It's good to be forewarned!

Vaccine experience
I go for my second dose next Saturday afternoon. Thank you for posting your experience, it is helpful to hear. Two questions- did you get Pfizer or Moderna? Why did you get your second dose only one week after your first dose? I got the Moderna and had unbearable arm pain the next day. Got the vaccine at 6 pm, and was fine until I woke up the next morning. My arm felt like someone was sawing it off. But by the morning after that I was 100% fine. Nervous for my second dose.

Sorry that was a mistake. The first dose was 1/8 not 1/28. This was moderns. My arm hurt the first time around too but the second time seemed much worse

Vaccine experience
I got both doses of Moderna and had a sore arm both times. I had a few chills the night of the second dose but no fever and felt otherwise fine. Just wanted to put a positive experience out there!

Re: Vaccine experience
Saw this article about the second dose:
https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2021/02/second-vaccine-side-effects/617892/
“But much like any other learning process, in this one repetition is key. When hit with the second injection, the immune system recognizes the onslaught, and starts to take it even more seriously. The body’s encore act, uncomfortable though it might be, is evidence that the immune system is solidifying its defenses against the virus.”

It's funny because i remember when my DD got her first MMR or chicken pox shot- can't remember which it was - she had very little reaction to it- maybe low grade fever? Her second shot, she got actual spots on her body, like a mild mild case of measles or chicken pox. So yeah, that makes sense.

Re: Vaccine experience
I got my second Pfizer shot on Saturday. Sore arm at first, then by Saturday night I had a headache. Sunday I had a headache all day and then started having aches in my legs, completely exhausted and later in the night my other arm was hurting. Today I am feeling 90% better. Headache is much better but still achy in the legs.
I hadn't heard any reactions to the Pfizer shot it was all moderna reactions I was hearing about so I was a little surprised but knew anything could happen.

Did you take any Motrin or anything? Knowing myself I'd be loading up on it until it subsided, because I do not like to be uncomfortable whatsoever LOL

Re: Vaccine experience
I read different things that said not to take anything because it could interfere with the shot so I just rode it out.
