For those going to Disney what's the best age for kids to go?
Personally, I think any age is fine. It's exciting for all ages. I will say that when we first went, my oldest was 5 and he was basically star struck by the characters which was super cute.

Australia and New Zealand.
This is where I went on my honeymoon
I’d love to go to Iceland to see the northern lights. We were supposed to go 5 years ago but I got pregnant with DD and was so sick we had to cancel.
I want to do that too. We were going to go a few years ago and then changed direction to Barbados instead. Not sure how that happened.

Re: Once traveling is a thing again.....................
First thing I want to do is do our California trip that we had planned for July of last year. San Diego, camping at the San Diego Zoo and then drive up to Disneyland. Hopefully July of 2022.
I also really want to go to Dreams Playa Mujeres after someone (I am sorry I forgot who posted about it) here mentioned it on the travel boards. I need a good lounge around and sip cocktails all day vacation. Hopefully spring break 2022
My number 1 bucket list spot is a South African safari and the Giraffe Manor https://www.thesafaricollection.com/properties/giraffe-manor/

Once traveling is a thing again.....................
My absolute dream is to go to Giraffe Manor in Kenya but that won't be happening any time soon.
I think we are going to try to do something in the Caribbean for Christmas this year.

Honestly I'd be happy just to rebook the Florida Keys right now. But everything seems to have doubled and tripled in price since we had it booked and had to cancel it in April of 2020. Its maddening

Looked there too just in case but we would have to fly, get a rental and then an air bnb as too much for 2 hotel rooms. Then food, etc Ugghh.
So much easier when the kids are small lol

That is crazy. We would need 2 rooms so Airbnb seems the cheapest. Then though we would have all meals as it wouldn’t be all inclusive so that adds up.

I feel like they are trying to make up for all the money they lost last year with the lockdowns and nobody travelling. But I'm not going to be the one to foot that bill... So disappointing.

For all you Disney experts where is the best place to stay with two toddlers. I have been doing some research but some reviews on the transportation to and from the parks seem like a nightmare. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated without going bankrupt! Thanks in advance.

Re: Once traveling is a thing again.....................
We've been traveling.
We are going to Vegas in June, Bermuda in September, and Disney in October. We are going back to Hawaii in March of 2022 and Italy in September 2022.
We had a trip to Spain and two trips to Hawaii canceled during COVID. Trying to reschedule the Spain trip now, but it probably won't happen until late Spring of next year.

If you can swing it, the Grand Floridian was wonderful. On the monorail and no need for long bus rides. We stayed at Pop Century once and the bus ride is 45 minutes away from Magic Kingdom. Too long to go back and forth a few times a day.

Once traveling is a thing again.....................
South Africa. My friend moved there a few years ago and I’ve always wanted to visit and now she’s getting married so I’ll make the time to go. I’ll probably do some other places since I’m making the trek.
Other than that I’ve been to most places that have been on my list other than Ireland

We've stayed at a few of them but my two favorites are Port Orleans Riverside and the Wilderness Lodge. They have so many great resorts though, you really can't go wrong with any of them!

You’ll love it there! What part? If you can, definitely try to do a side trip to a close country. Namibia and Botswana are really nice. It’s worth it!

The bus ride from Pop Century is not 45 minutes. Not sure what happened when you went. We go to Disney all the time, have stayed just about everywhere, and have stayed at Pop Century several times, and the bus ride is 20 minutes. Maybe if you are sitting there on the bus waiting another 25 minutes to load people it's 45 minutes.

This is absolutely the case. Even last Summer we did a ton traveling in the Northeast. Many hotels were around $500 a night. Maine, Newport, Catskills, all jacked up their prices. This year it's even more! Insane.

I can hop on a plane for free with miles and go to Disney next week. Free hotel also since they comped us for a complaint, and I have unused tickets! But, the Magic Kingdom has NO availability for park days until July. It's nuts!

All I know is that we were there in the summer and it took that long as that was something I will never forget. Not sure if we had a ton of stops but that was one of the reasons we would not stay there again. Being on the monorail my husband and one kid was able to run over and go on some rides while myself and the other one got ready for the day. Once we got back to Pop we weren’t going to leave as it was time consuming.

I agree with above, no resort is that far from the parks. But I will say, Pop is a VERY busy resort and the one thing that did drive me crazy was the waits for the bus. It took cycle after cycle to get on board and even then, it was rare to get a seat. You were always stuffed in like sardines. That got annoying day after day.
I really enjoyed staying at Wilderness Lodge because you could hop on the little boat to get to MK or the monorail to Epcot. It was a pretty and quiet ride and you never really got stuck on long lines waiting to board. It was great!
