According to the article, they based the results on kids not being in person school. So the numbers of kids getting Covid will be higher than what they currently report.
Even with school, VERY few children are hospitalized with Covid. Miniscule numbers.
And miniscule numbers have the myocarditis. Less than 1%. And you will always have a choice not to vaccinate you kid just like any other vaccine. You might not like the consequences of that choice but you have a choice
And this is why our country and these poor kids are doomed. Minuscule? First of all, if it were YOUR child would it really matter that the risk was minuscule? Knowing that this is definitely a possibility and not knowing what the impact is on these kids overall is enough of a reason they should be pulling the shot and studying it. Second, recent studies have shown that the numbers were way undercounted for a number of reasons which I won’t even bother to waste my time going into.
Exactly! When the chance of your child getting severely sick from the vaccine far outweighs the chance of your child getting sick from the virus, its pretty clear what is the better choice is...
Yep! When you are looking right at odds that tell you that something is 6 times more likely to harm your child than something else why would you ever choose the greater of 2 evils? It's mind boggling some people's logic. Or maybe it's mind boggling how brainwashed they have become. Vaccine at ALL costs! Don't worry about any harmful side effects that might be more likely than your child getting Covid. Just shut up and shoot up your healthy kid! Logic be damned!
Actually it was Nell that said a kid being hospitalized was Miniscule so I used her words. So crucify my all you want but she is always saying if your kid is gets hospitalized with Covid ehhh it’s not worth worrying about.
You all want to crucify anyone who doesn’t see it your way and complain the other side does the same.

Wow. I take offense to that. I am NOT brainwashed. I talked to our pediatrician who I trust to care for my children at length about the vaccine and to “shoot up my heathy kid” or not. It was a very tough choice and LOGICALLY after speaking to my ped I did what I think is best for MY child. Do I think the vaccine should be mandated for children? Absolutely not. But I also know that I and most others did not make this decision bc we were brainwashed. Nobody should judge you, collective you, on your decision to not vaccinate you or your children and continue on as you did pre pandemic right? How dare they, right? But those of us who have a different perspective and do what we feel is right for us and OUR family and children are illogical and brainwashed. Hypocrisy a bit?

I'm wondering how much of a "choice" it really is for most people. If you are lower income, how many of you can afford to home school your children? If you are blue collar and you have a civil service job, or even a teacher with a pension, how easy is it to pick up and move to another state? If you are on welfare barely scraping by... ETC ETC ETC. How many people are actually in a position that they can pick up and move because of a vaccine mandate? I know I technically can move but my kids would be devastated. Should I have to make that choice because I am being steamrolled into giving my kids a vaccine that I don't trust? The people that you are hurting are the lower income and poor, already disenfranchised parents who really don't have a choice. But I guess that's okay right?
Even if you believe the vaccine is safe for children, don't you understand the implications that will come from allowing the government to put mandates on a vaccine this quickly? People were protesting in Albany not to long ago to stop the mandate for Gardasil which has been around a LOT longer. Where does this end?

Teenage boys more at risk from vaccines than from covid
"Jabbed". Is "jab" the disapproval term for vaccinated now? I've seen this all over social media by anti vaxxers. So weird.

I think it is because the platforms monitor posts for the words “vaccine” and “vaccinated” etc. so they can suspend or ban you if they do not like what you write.

This is exactly it. They’ll most likely censor posts that have those words (certain words will trigger the algorithms. Then depending on how much u use those words, and/or posts links that contain those words, they can ban u for weeks and ultimately delete ur account.

I'm pretty sure they suspend, ban and delete after their fact checking proves misinformation. I see the fact check warnings on MANY FB posts that spread misinformation about everything relating to Covid, vaccines, politics, child abuse, etc. I'm sure FB and IG have "jab" as a fact check word also at this point anyway. It's all a conspiracy....FB is out to get you and your account

It has happened to me too with info that I’ve shared directly from VAERS, and for random words like one time I posted about “killing” mosquitos in a fb group. These fact checkers are super knowledgeable!

Ummmmm, bc as parents we should have a choice at this point with this vaccine. I made my choice but I haven’t called someone illogical for making a different choice. You guys don’t want to be judged for not getting vaccinated and love to boast about living your best life as you did per pandemic right?? So stop judging and loading your posts with condescension toward those that made different choices.

Funny how you take one question and run with it and assume.
So you don’t want it mandated but find it ok for your child even though they are proving it is dangerous. You might just regret it if they never mandate it for your child’s age.

I was going to say the same….I’ve seen the expression used often in BBC articles that were definitely not anti-vax.
I don’t personally like the expression. Giving someone a “jab” has the same connotation IMO as assaulting someone

Yeah, I personally just don’t like the word. It was so annoying hearing my exMIL remind my exH to get his flu jab every year. She was also my BEC, so there you go.
Here’s an interesting post about it:

As well as you all might regret NOT getting the vaccine. Again I trust my pediatrician way more than any forum posters.

Don't worry about any harmful side effects that might be more likely than your child getting Covid. Just shut up and shoot up your healthy kid! Logic be damned!
Why don’t you think it should be mandated for children?
Ummmmm, bc as parents we should have a choice at this point with this vaccine. I made my choice but I haven’t called someone illogical for making a different choice. You guys don’t want to be judged for not getting vaccinated and love to boast about living your best life as you did per pandemic right?? So stop judging and loading your posts with condescension toward those that made different choices.
Funny how you take one question and run with it and assume.
So you don’t want it mandated but find it ok for your child even though they are proving it is dangerous. You might just regret it if they never mandate it for your child’s age.
YOU asked her a question and she answered it - how it that "running" with it? And your response just proves that you judge anyone who disagrees with your position. You don't want to be judged for your position yet continue to judge someone who took the time to provide a thoughtful answer to your question and who EXPLAINED exactly why she made her decision - to follow her pediatrician's recommendation rather than follow the group think on this page

Re: Teenage boys more at risk from vaccines than from covid

FB banned me for a week for joking saying my husband is a pain in the ass. It went right with the conversation and it was not misinformation lol
It has happened to me too with info that I’ve shared directly from VAERS, and for random words like one time I posted about “killing” mosquitos in a fb group. These fact checkers are super knowledgeable!
I really don't think it's a person fact checking in those instances, I think it's their system that just flags phrases. I know many people in my photographers group have had their accounts suspended temporarily for using the word "shoot"...meanwhile, that's what we do..shoot, ha! But once it's appealed, a human actual realizes and reinstates the account.

You come on a page, regarding teen boys, whom you don't have any, to provide some useful feedback, just to attack me.

As well as you all might regret NOT getting the vaccine. Again I trust my pediatrician way more than any forum posters.
Evidently some people cannot imagine listening to a doctor's advice over the advice of a bunch of random, know nothing strangers on the internet who think the government is out to get them and everything is a conspiracy theory. Weird. lol
