This doesn’t scare anyone?
Didn’t scare me that it was heavier and came earlier the month I got my shot. I had a strong immune response. My period was wonky for 2 months after having Covid itself. Even When I have a cold, my period is off. Any immune response can effect your period.
Interesting! My period has never acted weird while being sick, not even with a cold.
Me too. And I’ve never had a conversation with my girlfriends about wonky periods after being sick or a vaccine.
Meanwhile I have a friend who went to the ER because her bleeding was soooo heavy. Her periods still have not returned to normal. But that’s normal. She’s become a big advocate now for women to speak up that this is NOT normal.
Has she gotten tested for thrombocytopenia? That can be vaccine induced and will cause heavy periods.

Re: Those that had change in cycle after vaccine
I didn't notice any changes after my vaccine, but I had the flu a couple years ago and my cycle was messed up for a couple months.

Those that had change in cycle after vaccine
Mine came early for 2 cycles but returned to normal. I think if I were looking to get pregnant I would worry. Reasons I won’t give to my children.

Re: Those that had change in cycle after vaccine
Got shot in May, was on period at the time and it stopped, like after day 3. My next 2 cycles were shorter by 4 days, which is not normal for me.
When I mentioned this as a reason for not giving the shot to my eligible premenstrual daughter, her ped said "oh that's normal from vaccines" well I have never had a shot or an illness mess with my cycle, so while I appreciate the Dr's expertise, I will not put my daughters fertility at risk.
My husband's Dr told him that studies that have been published re: covid & fertility have disappeared. Like not retracted with updates, but removed. Censorship around this issue imo is real.

Re: Those that had change in cycle after vaccine
My good friend did not get her period for two months after getting the vaccine. I am on the pill so I haven't noticed anything.

Of course when they are pushing it on the kids now, they don't want parents to see that if they haven't already.

It's funny, I also questioned my GYN about this and she said there was no correlation surrounding the vaccine and menstrual cycles. This was back in May when I got my 2nd shot. Now I'm hearing rumblings from friends in the medical field (no, I dont have sources, just hearsay) that they are doing studies now because so many women have had this issue...

Those that had change in cycle after vaccine
Study now after the fact same with the pregnant how have they have determined this. Has any women gotten pregnant, received the vaccine, given birth and child has reached their milestones and have no developmental or educational issues?
Just seems weirds you can't eat cold cuts, have a glass of wine etc..... but you can have an experimental drug.

It’s not a rumor. The NIH initiated a study to investigate this very thing.

And I'm supposed to just rush my pre-pubescent daughter to get this vaccine on her 12th birthday. No questions asked. Just smile and do it. Collect the $100 too!!! And cross my fingers her fertility is ok. Hey, she may not even want to have children in the future, so why worry. But it's worth it because if she got Covid, she may get a runny nose at this age. Makes sense.

I hear you! It was a red flag for me that the medical community was being so dismissive of this for months when there was so obviously a connection. Maybe it’s a completely harmless and temporary side effect, but shouldn’t the doctors and scientists want to know for sure?

Re: Those that had change in cycle after vaccine
My teen has 3 friends who have not had their periods in months now. Two had the shot, the other we are not sure but lives with two family members who have had the shot. This is very scary to me.

I have a 4.5 month old and when I was pregnant my OBGYN told me to get the vaccine and I decided to wait until I gave birth because I was worried about what may happen. My sister in law just gave birth and she got the shot while pregnant so I guess we will see, hopefully everything turns out ok.

Major red flag for me also. Much of it is. I trust my intuition greatly.

Didn’t scare me that it was heavier and came earlier the month I got my shot. I had a strong immune response. My period was wonky for 2 months after having Covid itself. Even When I have a cold, my period is off. Any immune response can effect your period.
I had something similar. But a month after my second Moderna it was late. Defin heavier then normal. My second dose was March 16. I would say everthing has been back to normal now.
