The thing with hospitals being swamped with unvaccinated people is that there are parts of the country where people who are high risk are not getting the vaccine and those areas are seeing the problem.
Hospitals are not filled with 30-40 year old healthy people dying of Covid. The majority are people who should have gotten the vaccine and didn’t.
I watched cnn interview a 60+ year old obese grandma saying she wished she got the vaccine. Well yes, you should have. Show me a hospital filled with 20 year old college kids. 30 year olds. Obviously there will be some who are the exception….but they aren’t the majority.

EX.AC.TLY. Just like any other illness and virus, there are things you avoid and do to take care of yourself when you are immune compromised. I have a friend whom is VERY immune compromised and she has been OVERLY cautious and I TOTALLY get that as she can and does get sick at the drop of a hat.
Some things I do NOT understand she did (because I don't think she was educated enough with this virus last summer as she would not even go in her backyard so she NEVER left the inside of her house) but I can only support her, which I did. She got her 2 vaccines and she felt much better seeing friends and I was so happy for her.

Once a year, ok but twice a year? Wow

She doesn't seem to understand that "many who run for the shot" are doing so for their own protection and NOT because anyone told them too. I have many friends and family who are immunocompromised, my mother just finished cancer treatments, and anything they can do to further ensure that should get they COVID they'll have an extra measure of protection is what they will do.
They aren't sheep. They don't care what the government says. They have the intelligence to make appropriate decisions for their own healthcare and idiots like Windy who continue to rail on about how they are so much more knowledgeable, smarter and better than everyone else for not getting the vaccine just shows their own ignorance and lack of empathy for other people's health situations.
This whole argument is getting so old. I can't understand why those who choose to not get vaccinated also cannot shut up about it. Talk about beating a dead horse. Everyone makes their own choice for their own reasons, continuing to call people sheep for protecting their health is the most ignorant comment that can be made. Move on already.
