Where did I go wrong?

Hello Long Islanders,

I’ve been having a serious problem with my older son, and I really don’t know what to do. Therefore, consider this post a cry of despair.

So, my older boy is 21 now. I know, he’s supposed to be mature, have a job, a stable relationship, etc. But he doesn’t. The only thing he cares about is his friends who don’t seem like well-behaved and educated children. Some are his age, some are a bit younger. The trouble is that they’re all problematic. Some are into drugs, some have been in prison, others are vandals…You get the picture why I’m so worried.

I’m constantly analyzing where I went wrong. I wanted him to be a well-educated and well behaved man who would have a decent job. What I ended up with was a rude dork who might drink, do drugs and who’s hooked on these http://terminatorx.cx/new-online-casinos-launched-in-2020/ ! What’s even worse, I don’t know what to do to bring him back to the right path.

If you have any idea what I could do to help my child and save him from vices before it’s too late, please share in the comments. I’m desperate and any advice would mean the world to me. Thanks!

I am just seeing this now, so sorry it has been a while for a reply. Honestly, cut off spending money. Tell him he has two months to find a job or you will evict him. His life is cushy. Make it not cushy.
