house update!
looks like we're moving in on, or around, mother's day!!
we're finished with all our paperwork and mortgage stuff and can close early, but the seller needs a little more time. after we close, she'll stay in the house for a couple of weeks.
DS has been joking that he's buying me a house for mother's day and that i should not ask for another gift for the rest of my life
now, i'm spending a lot of my free time investigating appliances. so... if you're in love with your washer/dryer, please share!

Re: house update!
Congrats!!!
I recently bought the LG washer / Dryer tower and love it!! It’s only been two month since I had it so I can’t speak to maintenance and longevity.

We did, too. I like them. We ordered directly from LG, which was WAY faster than going to PC Richards, Best Buy, etc
Congrats!!!!! I’m so happy for you!!

house update!
So exciting! Congrats!
I know others are recommending LG appliances - but I'll tell you, I will NEVER purchase another LG appliance. LITERALLY EVER. My kitchen has all LG appliances and my refrigerator went out the weekend before my c-section with my daughter. Only certain appliance repair people can work on them and it took them 6+ visits INCLUDING the day of my section (my dad was at the house and wasnt able to be at the hospital with the rest of our family because of it), me purchasing a mini fridge (that I was told I would be reimbursed for and wasnt), hundreds of dollars in lost food, and numerous phone calls (really screaming matches) with their customer service department before it got fixed. They are LITERALLY the worst. Ive even contemplated buying new appliances so I dont have to look at their stupid logo in my kitchen anymore...,

We recently moved into a new house and the kitchen has all relatively new LG appliances. They are the WORST. We have been here 7 months and the repair person has been out 2 x's to adjust the compressor in the fridge because it shakes and then last night it completely went. Luckily it was under warranty and since we are "frequent flyers" the tech was able to come today. Two repair companies and the actual LG Tech today told us they are the worst appliances. The dishwasher is terrible, the oven won't set and hold a proper temperature and even the microwave has issues. We just need them to hold on for a year until we completely renovate the kitchen. We are going to get a back-up garage fridge because we know it's only a matter of time until this thing goes again.
Our LG washer in our last house completely went after 2 years. That tech said the same thing. NEVER AGAIN!

Wow! That’s sucks.
I will say my kitchen appliances are Samsung and I love them. My sister has Samsung washer and dryer, it’s been several years and they still work great.
OP - I suggest signing up for a Home Depot pro account. You get a lot of discounts and coupons!

The convection feature in my oven doesn't work either! I just don't have the patience to deal with them again, so I just don't use it. I think our microwave is the only thing that doesn't have issues. Our dishwasher sucks too.

I don't blame you I just wouldn't use it either. It's so frustrating.

We moved to the south and typically here the frdige doesn't stay. The owners made it out like they were doing us a favor and leaving it because they were down sizing and taking the extra one from the garage. We now know they left it because they didn't want to deal with it anymore.
I will have to keep Samsung in mind when we renovate.
