Aruba questions
We are looking into going to Aruba in early-mid August with kids ages 11 and 14, most likely staying at Playa Linda.
I'm a bit worried about the palapa situation bc I'm reading reviews that ppl get up at 3 am to reserve them. I'm hoping it's not that busy in August and it won't be a big issue?
Any restaurant recommendations?
Any activity recommendations? We're open to anything from sight seeing, snorkeling, exploring Aruba, etc.?
TIA!!

Aruba questions
Ugh, the palapa situation at the playa linda - the worst. My parents have owned there since it was built and it gets crazy. While I don't think its 3am, it is definitely early. Even given that situation, I would still go and enjoy every minute of a vacation there. It is not as if there are not enough palapas, it's the location that people want. People have been coming there for YEARS and want their spot. Again, don't let it deter you.
Restaurants - so many. Of course, there are the typical named restaurants that everyone has to go to - madame jeanette, barefoot, etc. Staying at the Playa Linda, you are withing walking distance to a ton of restaurants so get out, walk, find what you like. But do make sure you get Eduardo's acai bowls. Just on the beach, in front of the Playa linda.
Again, so much to do. When you get there, you can walk the beach and see what appeals to you. Booze cruise with snorkeling, paddle boarding, banana boat, you could rent quads and go on a tour to the other side. Take a taxi into town one day to go shopping and have dinner/lunch. Baby beach, De Palm Island.
