Call/Text/Email Follow up from Job Interview
Would you call/text/email regarding a job interview you went on after the time they said they would be picking a candidate?

Call/Text/Email Follow up from Job Interview
I’d give it a week after they said they’d decide. Unless previous communication was done by phone, I’d only email. I wouldn’t call or text. That’s usually a no-no unless told otherwise.

I usually don't, because if I don't hear from them, then I assume they went with someone else. I am finding a lot of places don't even bother sending a rejection email which I think is rude. The only time I did follow up was when a woman I interviewed with told me that she was going to set me up with a colleague for a 2nd interview and then completely ghosted me.

Yes I would think no call means no job also.
When my one kid was trying to get a job, everyone says that there are SO many jobs out there. Yes, if you look online there ARE but none of them even get back to you and when they do interview you, they don't even send back a rejection when they tell you they will call you by a certain day.

I would email after a week. It sucks that so many companies ghost, but occasionally the hiring manager gets busy and a follow up lets them know you're interested. It doesn't hurt anything to email, but it could hurt if you don't.

Well the person told me they called the places they interviewed at and one said they were waiting for them to call and see if they still want the position. Then said they would still have to talk to their boss and let them know next week (originally would have an answer this week). The other one said call back next week as the boss was not there even though they said they would make the decision by yesterday.
I don't get it as my one child had the same issue with places. They place an ad to hire, either never call for an interview (which I get they probably have a lot of resumes) or when they do interview, they say they will call by such and such a date and never do and don't follow up to let you know.
It's like you have to apply for a million jobs and hope one responds and you don't get an offer for more than one at the same time.
My gf actually just said her son is having the same problem and he lives down south so it is not just a northern thing.

Even if you are qualified or more than qualified for the job you are looking for, you may not get called if your resume doesnt contain those key words unfortunately (it happened to me when I was looking after working for a company for nearly 20 years).
I have had 2 jobs since then and I got them through a relative and a friend submitting my resume. The first one - the company followed up in a timely fashion but I hated the job with a passion. For the second one - it took longer to have them get back to me but it ended up working out.

No I had a few interviews but no job offers. I am looking for a remote position though, which I know is harder to get. I am currently in higher education and there are not really a lot of remote roles in what I do... so I tried applying to HR roles that have more remote options however, I haven't worked in HR in 14 years so I feel like my resume gets glossed over... (though I did have two interviews).
